Vice President JD Vance aimed at former Vice President Kamala Harris during an interview published this week, insinuating that alcohol habits were behind her \u201cword salads.\u201d<\/p>\n
Vance contrasted his performance with Harris\u2019s, and he even speculated about the nature of the relationship between Harris and former President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, I don\u2019t have four shots of vodka before every meeting,\u201d Vance told radio host and Daily Caller editor Vince Coglianese in an interview that aired Thursday. \u201cThat\u2019s one way I think that Kamala tried to bring herself into the role, is these word salads. I think I would need the help of a lot of alcohol to answer a question the way that Kamala Harris answered questions.\u201d<\/p>\n
Vance then expressed his suspicion that Harris and Biden don\u2019t share the same level of trust that he and President Donald Trump enjoy, clarifying that his view is based on \u201cguesswork\u201d since he rarely speaks with either Biden or Harris.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy sense is that there wasn\u2019t a level of trust between Biden and Harris,\u201d Vance said. \u201cShe was just less empowered to do her job. Luckily, I\u2019m in a situation where the president trusts me, where if he asks me to do something, he believes it\u2019s going to happen. \u2026 I feel empowered in a way that I think a lot of vice presidents haven\u2019t been, but that\u2019s all in the service of accomplishing the president\u2019s vision.\u201d<\/p>\n
During her tenure as VP, Harris often faced criticism and mocking for confounding remarks in which she jumbled words, including when she said, \u201cI grew up understanding the children of the community are the children of the community\u201d in September 2024.<\/p>\n
Ironically, Harris, a former Democratic senator from California, now works with CAA Speakers, a firm representing high-profile celebrities, to conduct speaking engagements, Fox News\u00a0revealed<\/a>.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for Vance confirmed that the vice president made the remarks on the podcast, but declined to offer further comment to Fox News.<\/p>\n All said, however, the current VP also poked some fun at himself during the interview, Fox added.<\/p>\n Vance, who became the subject of thousands of memes circulating online after the heated Oval Office meeting between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in February, said he finds them entertaining.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
