Trump was sworn in as the 47th\u00a0U.S.<\/a>\u00a0president in an inauguration ceremony on January 20, marking his second term with the Republican party.<\/p>\n

Biden and his wife, Jill, hosted the president-elect and Melania Trump at the White House in the traditional ceremony symbolizing the change in America\u2019s leader.<\/p>\n

After months of speculation regarding Biden\u2019s health, the 82-year-old pulled out of the presidential race in July, stating it was \u2018in the best interest of my party and country.\u2019<\/p>\n

He later endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as his replacement.<\/p>\n

Trump won 312 electoral votes, making him the next president of the United States.<\/p>\n

Since being sworn in, he has taken no time carrying out executive orders and reversing many of Biden\u2019s policies.<\/p>\n

He issued pardons or commutations for over 1,500 people convicted or charged with the U.S. Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, reports the\u00a0BBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He announced the withdrawal of the U.S. from the Paris Climate Agreement, which aims to tackle rising temperatures.<\/p>\n

The 78-year-old previously withdrew the U.S. from the agreement during his last presidency, but Biden reversed this decision.<\/p>\n

Trump also reversed Biden\u2019s 2023 barred oil drilling in the Arctic,\u00a0stating<\/a>: \u201cWe will be a rich nation again, and it is that liquid gold under our feet that will help to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

He signed an order that will recognize two genders only \u2013 male and female \u2013 and declared they cannot be changed.<\/p>\n

During his inaugural speech, Trump\u00a0declared<\/a>: \u201cAs of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump also shared plans to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America and revert Alaska\u2019s Denali to Mount McKinley \u2013 President Barack Obama changed the name in 2015, according to a preview of orders obtained by the\u00a0New York Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Amid reports of Trump\u2019s presidential plans, the president is also making headlines following an exchange with Biden at the inauguration.<\/p>\n

The ceremony usually takes place on a stage in front of the U.S. Capital building, with VIP guests on the platform.<\/p>\n

The forecast of freezing temperatures prompted a decision to move the ceremony inside the Capitol building\u2019s Rotunda.<\/p>\n

Before the inauguration, Trump and his wife were greeted by Biden and First Lady Jill Biden at the North Portico of the executive mansion.<\/p>\n

Expert lip reader Jeremy Freeman has now interpreted the interaction of the group as they stood for a photo opportunity.<\/p>\n

Freeman tells the\u00a0Irish Times<\/a>\u00a0Biden greeted Trump and his wife with \u2018Welcome home,\u2019 to which Trump is said to have responded: \u201cHow are you? It\u2019s so cold. I need to do my coat up I\u2019m freezing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Biden agreed he was also freezing, to which Freeman claims Trump humorously responded: \u201cShut up Biden.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump then remarked that it was \u2018colder than when we ski,\u2019 to which Biden replied \u2018It\u2019s hello,\u2019 before announcing his intention to go inside.<\/p>\n
