Sadly, 54-year-old actor Nicky Katt passed away.<\/strong><\/p>\n

John Sloss, founder and partner of Sloss Law, confirmed to\u00a0Deadline<\/a>\u00a0that the firm represented the late actor and that he had passed away. The cause of death and other specifics have not yet been made public.<\/p>\n

Since the announcement, coworkers and critics have mourned the death of a famous actor.<\/p>\n

Beau Flynn, CEO of Flynn Picture Company, wrote on\u00a0X (formerly Twitter)<\/a>:\u00a0\u201cHeartbroken to learn about the way too early passing of the seriously talented actor Nicky Katt \u2013 God bless you my friend. What a privilege to know you and work with you on my first movie in 1995 \u2013 \u2018johns\u2019. Rest in peace brother.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Film critic Barry Hertz shared,\u00a0\u201cNicky Katt should\u2019ve\/could\u2019ve been 2010\u2019s Walton Goggins. Phenomenal in everything from Boston Public to Planet Terror. RIP.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Supporters agreed, recalling Katt\u2019s memorable parts and cult-favorite performances.<\/p>\n

At the age of seven, Katt started acting, and the 1977 television series CHiPs was his first TV appearance.<\/p>\n

He paved the way for a decades-long career in Hollywood by starring in a series of early television hits, such as Father Murphy, Fantasy Island, and Herbie the Love Bug.<\/p>\n

His most famous part is that of Clint Bruno in Richard Linklater\u2019s 1993 coming-of-age film Dazed and Confused, in which he co-starred alongside Ben Affleck, Matthew McConaughey, and Parker Posey.<\/p>\n

School of Rock (2003), Sister Act (1992), A Time To Kill, SubUrbia (1996), and Batman & Robin (1997) are just a few of his tremendous film and television credits.<\/p>\n

His career includes The Way of the Gun (2000) and Insomnia (2002), along with a number of cameo appearances in popular television shows such as Friends, The Guardian, King of the Hill, Monk, and Law and Order.<\/p>\n
